From what I remember, Eiken Compound was an officer's compound. The mobile commcenter in an air conditioned van was in the IV Corps TOC Hq. That's the only commcenter I knew that was downtown. It was guarded by ARVN, so it might have been an ARVN compound. Battalion headquarters was in a big building that looked like an old bank building, with overhead fans, no air conditioning.
