sometime around xmas in 67 we were awaken buy stu yelling income and we all ran outside into a ditch along the road we watched these viets run down the airstrip throwing sachels into the heli i thand that they blowup three. it was kind of embarrasing because we just had our boxers on and no guns and ammo. two guys from the 69 ran by and asked what the hell we were doing. sgt jones sent ray and myself uo to get our guns and ammo. we couldnt shot but no one knew where anyone one was.
