I was assigned to FOD CORD, DMAC in 71-72 and lived at our small compound across the street from the CORDS Club. I ate at Eakin at times, but ate mostly at the CORDS Club. I met John Paul Vann on that tour also. It was my second tour in the Delta, the first being in 67-68 Co C, 52d Signal in Sadec. Do you remember a black NCO that worked CORDS Security? He drove a Lambretta scooter. I also spent lots of time at "Palm Springs" and met "Frenchy" and Vann's other secretary. They are mentioned in the book about Vann "A Bright Shining Lie".
