In the years of 1968, 69, and 70, my boyfriend, Sp/5 Albert W. Miller served with the 244th SAC in Can Tho. Although we never married, we have remained close friends and have, through the years, often discussed his VietNam experience. It's really good to finally see some real photos of the place as well as to read the posts of the other men who proudly served as well. My memories? Marking off each day with a little "X" on the calander, counting each one until he would be home. Daily letters from me, not as frequent from him. Enclosing packages of Kool Aid in my letters because the water over there was foul tasting. Sending countless packages and cards. Reading the second page of the Los Angeles Herald Examiner where all the VietNam news was listed. If the first line didn't say Can Tho, passing it by! Praying for all of you nightly. If anyone remembers Al, please post and I will respond with his e-mail address.
