I just came across this site this evening and a lot of memories came back from 30 years ago. I was stationed in Can Tho from March 1969 thru February 1970. I was a Mode V operator in the Airfield Comm Center for several months after my arrival in country. I was then transferred down to IV Corp Comm Center. When I first began working there, we were operating out of a tactical van. As I recall the van was just large enought for the communications equipment and three men. After a month or so we moved out of the van and into a renovated building on the compound. I finished out my tour working there. I lived on the bottom floor of the first barracks that you came to when coming in the main road where it ended and T'd. Some of the names that come to mind that I worked with are Buck French, Dennis Weems, Bob Young and Billy Sheppard. Some others may come to me later. I've enjoyed reading some of the comments and memories. As time permits I'll get back on and recall my memories in as much detail as I can.
