I was stationed with the Air Force OSI in Can Tho from Dec 69 - Dec 70. We worked off base, but, in fact were on Binh Thuy AB alot. OSI was involved in counterintelligence and also criminal investigations. We worked closely with the Binh Thuy Security Police on most criminal investigations (blackmarketing, theft, homicides, etc.) We were also involved the Security Police on some counterintelligence activity. If you worked with our unit (1005th Special Investigation Group), you would remember Air Force personnel in civilian clothes on the air base. I was the administrative NCO in charge of our office in Can Tho and worked with 5-6 special agents. We later moved out to Binh Thuy AB in late 1970 due to security reasons.
