I am trying to find some buddies who served with my brother Jerry Rushka, who served two tours in Vietnam. I don't know a lot but I do know from someone else who served with him that he was in the 52nd Signal Battalion USAVN in 1968, and served at Can Tho for 12 months. He was responsible for much of the communication network in the IV Corp. I don't know if this networking will help him or not, but he has been having a lot of difficulty trying to get service connected for disabilities that stem from his service in Vietnam. He has been trying for over 20 years! He lives with me now, and has cancer and many medical problems including PTSD. If someone knows of Jerry and can communicate with me, or if anyone knows how I can get him some help, I would really appreciate it. From the stories I've heard, he deserves more than a few medals, and still insists he would die for his country right now, but he can't even get the VA to acknowledge that he is sick. It's a long story, but if anyone thinks they may be able to help, please email me at amanter@deloitte.com. A few other names that would be particularly important in helping are a (at the time) Capt. Neal Down and a General Butts who served at the same time. Thank you.
