I think i remember seeing on a show one time that the singer from Iron Butterfy was drunk when they recorded the song. They say he was trying to say "In the Garden Of Eden" but they liked the way it sounded and changed the name of the song to In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida, making it sound more mysterious and intreguing because of peoples curiousity.
