(271st flight platoon) I recall that incident. I was at the "theater" near the PX when that boom went off. Everyone got on the floor thinking it was an attack. Movie shut down and after a while guy in charge said to leave. So everyone scrambled out....saw some others milling around and they said what it was...watched the fireworks for a while. Thot for sure we had a big one coming our way.
