I was an MP guard for the 156 Aviation Co. at Can Tho airfield of the 224th Aviation Bn. of the 509 Radio Research Group during the period Oct 1966 thru April 68. Our guard platoon guarded posts nightly on the west end of the airfield. Mostly the north part of the west end and also at the 156th Operations building down town. We were also absorbed into more comprehensive airfield guard duty for other posts on the south side of the runway. Tonight, 31 January 2001, marks 33 years from the first nite of what we always shall remember simply as Tet. I would be particularly pleased to locate vets of the 156th Avn. Co. that may have been there some of that period. jprice@mail.ifas.ufl.edu
