We usually called them the "seven mountains" and the largest of them, as I recall was spelled Nui Kto, pronounced as one word, nuicoto. I'm pretty sure Nui Ba Den was elsewhere, it stood alone up near the "angel's wing" on the Cambodian border, northwest of Saigon. The "seven" were straight west of Can Tho, on the border.

The rocks started in the Gulf of Siam, west of Rach Gia, and extended as far as I could see, toward Sihanoukville. To the north and west, they rose into mountains. I could never make the count come out to seven, though. There was an ancient stone ruin on a karst outcrop on the north side of Nui Kto that I'd sure like to take a closer look at. We did not go very close to these places.
