I was a guard for the 156th Avn. Co. a little bit before your time. I guarded the airfield perimeter (small back then) and downtown hotel (operations and officers' quarters) for the entire period...including Tet '68.
There are not too many 156th vets that sign onto this site. There is a small list of us on Classmates.com at the 156th Aviation Co. Can Tho page. Try for some friends there.
Since this present page is very long now, your recent note may be missed. Why not put a new posting at the top of the page where it will be easier to find.
If you are familiar with the downtown 156th hotel you may be interested in info my brother has gathered for me over the past 5 years of visiting Can Tho on projects for Texas A&M University.
