Bob, million and one chance that I came across your note.

I was with the 221st Feb 68 - Mar 69. Started in Soc Trang and later moved to Vi Thanh in Choung Thien Provience as Sector Lead. Flew for MACV Team 73 as well as assorted Special Operations. Call sign was Shotgun 35.

Haven't heard from anyone since those days. I returned to the States, did helo transition and off to Ethiopia. Returned to RVN in 71-72 commanding Airborne Pathfinders and as ASO of 11th Avn Gp., Marble Mountain, Da Nang. Over the years have had various assignments with conventional forces, and Special Operations Forces. Commanded at the Platoon, Company, Battalion, Brigade and Group level. Ultimately became rated in 13 fixed and rotary wing aircraft. Last operational flying assignment was 1980. I retired in 1995 with over 30 years service; spent last three years active duty at the White House under President Bush and later Clinton.

I am with an international corporation supporting National Security. Live just outside Washington DC.

What have you been doing since the days of the Shotguns?

Sam
