I remember that night. Our Hook arrived after it had happened. Our sister ship was sitting along side the ammo dump burm and was peppered a bit with shrapnel and had the cabin windows punched out by the blast.But the berm sent most of the stuff up. Our flight crew had to stay over nite in Can Tho,instead of returning to Vung Tau. Cause we had to take the broken bird's next day (first light take off)missions. Does anyone have a firm date on when this happened??
