Dear Son.

My name is Gary. I was wounded in a morter attack at Can Tho, Vietnam, 15 May 1970. Sounds like your dad was there at the time.

That was good news. I was only there for five months.

The guys who served a whole year there spent a year swimming in a sea of agent orange. Rotors, agent orange, and thousands of landings on bare dirt have devastated those I served with.

I have boxes and boxes of photos. If anyone from the DAG needs help on issues of enemy action at or around Can Tho, hepatitis, Porphiria, or agent orange, it would be my honor to try and help.

Payback would be appreciated. Green Delta 113 pilot, 1LT (promoted from WO) Johnson saved my life. I would like to say thank you. If only I knew how.

It does mean something.
