Mike Evans ,o1 crewchief ,arrived 221st Soc Trang, Mar 1968.I was a 67n levied from Finthen Germany and when I arrived in Soc Trang was converted to birddog crewchief.I was ticked becuase I had just left plenty of fixed wing types back in GERMANY. But it was good duty and I was assigned to macv crew and we lived at macv compound. One of my pilots was lt watson from Hawaii and later cpt Werner. My fellow crew chief was sp5 cimanara .Other names I remember from those days were Cotton,Bauer Gutsweiler Moore and Barber. I was transfered in early 69 to 175th ahc in vihn long and etsd Mar 1969 .
