Over on the Army ATC discussion group on Yahoo we have been talking about supposed black Cobras in RVN. At least two controllers who were in Vietnam remember seeing black Cobras. One saw them at Dong Ba Thin, central coastal highlands and says they were flying into Cambodia. The other controller talks about Can Tho and the 235th AWC flying covertly into Cambodia, and also flying off of some barge off the coast. I'd like to hear from anybody who has direct knowledge of black-painted or "sanitized" Cobras used in RVN, what units, time frame, etc. A photo for proof would be even better.
