There was an article recently (NY Times I believe) about the fall of the RVN, and how the South Vietnamess soldier is now a "Non-entity". It illustrated a grown over, totally neglected grave yard where former RVN solders are interred; down the road are the graves of the Northern solders and Viet Cong, the conflict victors and there are fresh flowers, and a well cared for, respectful presence. Of course the USA is now caring for its vets, but we are also trying to normalize relations with modern day Vietnam. The losers seem to be the RVN troops..very sad, or am I just getting mauldin in my old age?
