OK Gents,

I am going to break a little ice to start a tread/Discussion here that you may or may not care to discuss. But I was approached by Email from a young lady, if she shows in the Discussion area we will call her Pam, attending the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN. Pam is doing an independent study about Jane Fonda's radio broadcast from Hanoi in 1972.

I know this is a hot subject to many, including myself. Yesterday I forwarded my attempts to answer her guestions through Email with her.

To start off. One of the main questions was:

"If the broadcast were over Radio Hanoi, did a lot of American Soldiers hear her talks?"

I was there in mid 72, but I did not hear about Jane's broadcast until I returned home.

Personally I did not have a chance to listen to the radio very much. But when I did I normally tuned into was the American Forces Radio channel. I am not sure if the American Forces Radio made any replays of the speeches, or whether they even acknowledged the fact to us that the speeches had taken place.

Anyone out there hear the speeches while in-country?

Please try to be gentlemen and objective. I know how most of us feel about Hanoi Jane but lets try to make this an educational Discussion rather than a cussing contest.

Thanks,

Joe
