USA Today June 27, 2000 Pg. 11 Vietnam Repatriates 3 Sets Of Remains To U.S. Three sets of remains, believed to be from American servicemen listed as missing in the Vietnam War, were handed over to a U.S. military honor guard. The remains were recovered this year as part of U.S. efforts to account for servicemen deemed Missing In Action (MIA) in Indochina. Of 2,583 Americans listed as MIA when the war ended 25 years ago, more than 550 have been recovered and identified. About 1,500 remain unaccounted for in Vietnam.
