I think this may be the best film, so far, about the war. They did one of those Histry Vs. Hollywood shows on the History Channel about it and had a panel of vets there who rated it 80% accurate. Since they were the guys, like Bruce Crandall, who were portrayed in the movie, I am inclined to take thier word for it. I also think you have to look at this movie as something apart from others about the war. There was a lot of BS perpetrated cinematically in the 70's and 80's about the war. Yes, the battle was a mistake and the strategy and policy were screwed up. The movie shows that. It doesn't hide from the truth, but tried to get closer to it. See the movie.
