I just read the post from Bernie Wallace. I was in the same company that was split between downtown and the airfield. We were a transportation company that ran convoys through the delta. I spent some time downtown at the hotel and out at the airfield. It was during my airfield stay that the attack took place. We stood in our tents and watched it happen. Nothing we could but go and see the damage the next day. I had thought the trans company was the 265th, but I could be wrong. It's been awhile.
