I forgot......in addition to the tough steaks, I got acquainted to a fish sauce (much like soy sauce...but much more rancid) called Nook-mam. Anybody ever have to try it to "show how tough you were" to the Vietnamese"? MADE FROM DECAYING FISH BURIED UNDERGROUND. I must have been nuts.
