Regarding the airfield attack in January '69. Bernie Wallace said that his company was split between downtown and the airfield. Would that have been a transportation company that ran supply convoys around the delta? If so, could someone please tell me the name of that company? I was stationed there from around Nov '68 to August '69. I spent time in both the hotel downtown and in the tents out by the airfield. I have not been able to find any pictures of those tents or contact any of the men who were there during that time. The only name I remember is Neil Koepke ( not real sure of the spelling ). Does anyone remember those convoys? We used to stage our loaded trucks along the road that paralleled the airfield. Maybe 20 or sometimes 25 trucks with a lead jeep. They were deuce and a halfs. New at the time with drop-sides for easy loading and unloading. After all these years it suddenly seems important to hear from someone else who drove those trucks with me. Any help would be fantastic and much appreciated.
