I was assigned to MACV and then attached to the 292nd Finance Section in Vinh Long. I oftened pulled extra duty helping the 7/1 Cav or the 199th, 114th and 175th AHC units. I made several supply runs to Can-Tho crossing the ferry. I remember early in my tour being on a patrol with the 7/1 Cav several clicks south of Vinh Long on Hwy 4 and we were met by a unit out of Can-Tho a huge searchlight was on a bed of a large flat bed truck anyone remember being a part of that event we located several VC and engaged in a firefight. Another time I was in Can-Tho and my shotgun rider (Afro-American) took off for a few hours and I located him at an all black bar in Can-Tho in some alley anyone remember the bars name and location? I visited the USO club what was its name and location? Around mid way of my tour I drove down with 7 other members of units at Vinh Long to appear at a promotion board anyone remember where they were held? I got to visit some MP HQ's and saw a wall full of weapons I remember it was located at a split in the road but don't remember the streets names.
