Don: You were on Team 56 before me. My last tour in Nam was with the team in 1972-73. Our district was Thuon Nhon and the team house was at the village of Mot Ngan. The road south of CanTho did not go that far. We usually traveled by boat to and from Can Tho, when I could get up there. Major Reedy was CO, I was XO/Phoenix/Intel and spent a lot of time pretending to work on the boat motor and the generator for the team house. After the major left in late '72 a fellow captain named John Ketchum joined us. When the Jan 1973 cease fire was announced there were only three GI's left. We got hit by mortors a few days after the cease fire and had to bug out. John and I served briefly together at Bragg as cadre, then I left the Army. One of my vivid memories is watching people bathe in the XaNo Canal while others washed clothes, some drank from it and some shit in it! Did you ever hear the phrase "The Delta Sucks"? Regards.
