The similarities between the 1968 Tet Offensive and the 1941 Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor are shocking. In both cases, Intelligence reports indicated that attacks were imminent. In both cases, there multiple sources of information confirming attacks were coming. And....in both cases, communications breakdowns and top brass stupidity rendered the intelligence information useless. In both cases we were caught with our pants down when we should have been preparing for the indicated attacks. Both cases were our own stupidity and incompetence. I don't know if anyone else sees the similarities. Any comments?
