I worked in the Group HQ personnel office across from the PX in Can Tho from Aug 71 to Jly 72. For most of my tour, I managed and prepared flight status orders for the enlisted men on flight status in the Delta. I also was a projectionist at the base theater across from our office. For you enlisted fliers, I was one cog in the chain responsible for you getting your flight pay, and if you ever attended a movie in the 35mm theater in Can Tho during that time, I may well have been the projectionist. One night at the theater we played the Jimi Hendrix version of the Star Spangeled Banner at the start of the evening movie in place of the authorized version. I don't think that the OIC was particularly pleased that night.
