Remember the plastic streamers everyone hung from the barracks framing to create private sleeping quarters? I remember one of the guys had Iron Butterfly's "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" and played it over and over again every night, with incense burning and beer drinking and who knows what was smoked. I learned to hate that song, but when I rotated back home, it was the first record I bought and whenever I hear it, I think of those days. We were miserable while we were there, but admit it guys, we'll never forget it.
