I left before that happened, but I was sitting next to a guy in the barracks on April 1st, 1970, when he was shot and killed, I still remember the blood all over me and the table. A Month and a half later I was working in the EM club on the Can Tho Airbase, when a grenade went off, it had been carried in by a engineer who was killed by it, but it also wounded 26 GI's and 6 Vietnamese girls working there. I stayed behind and got everyone out that was still there, and helped the wounded as much as possible. That's another night I'll never forget.
