I recall that Can Tho Air Force had a neat jet turbine powered generator, all you guys had to do was keep the fuel flowing to it. We (Can Tho Tropo, 327th Sig Co. Det 4.) at the base of the tower, had 6 cyl Waukesha diesel powered generators that needed regular care and feeding, switching over from one to another so so you could pull maint., etc. Yours had a wicked high pitch whine...
