Sorry Neil I was not a permant party at SaDec I was part of the 525 Sig supporting the MI RadioTTy I spent many days there in 66-67. I remember Sgt Robert Sinkfield the team chief. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but my old brain seems to remember the club had an open air feel to it, the messhall was in a large building up near a gate, and they served a lot of chile concarne. The two signal units being in one barbed wire enclosure there. And the time Jennifer Jones was there talking to all of us, taking home phone numbers and family names to call when she got home and she did. My father-in-law was thrilled to talk to her when she called for my fiance. Jennifer was about his age at that time. My first repair mission was at Sedec I had never repaired anything outside of the school finished the month before VN. It went very well and one of the most challenging missions of the year. After that I had confidence. And one memory of waiting near the water for a chopper flight back to VinhLong. As I sat waiting, there was an unconcious wounded solder on a strecher waitng with an attending medics. The canvas strecher was puddling with blood as he was being give transfusions, one of the clearest and sadest memories of Sadec.
