I was in the 39th signal batt.I was the " phone company" for the seminary and remote units stationed downtown My Tho.June 1969-Nov. 1970.I was there when we pulled out and moved downtown. I have pictures. Shortly after i got there I asked someone why there was never Much of anything in our small Px.The answer was that the dinks in there would call ther buddies when the trucks came in and buy it all up. so the next that truck came in i pulled all the coils on all the dinks phones and called al the remote post and told them to get in here. later I did sell alot of fans and refrigerators downtown, bought a 71 Camero when i got home. the seminary was a hotel resort.
