I arrived in Dong Tam in 1967. I was in a Signal unit attached to the 9th Infantry Div. We arrived in Dong Tam in its infancy. Engineers had just finished dredging and filling rice paddies so that construction of barracks could begin. Our unit installed first antennas and radio sites. I was a 31E20 Field Radio Repairman trained to repair mobil communications. I had to shift gears and learn to repair fixed station equip. I have no papers and do not know what unit I was with. Can any one help me find out who the hell I am? Also, my unit was relocated about 8 mo.s to Quang Tre, I Corp area to support the 3rd. Marines.
