Bill Northcutt:

I am trying to identify anyone who may have known the NCOIC of the signal detachment at My Tho during March-June 1970. Or the NCOIC of the multi-channel site at Dong Tam. I believe it was the 579th Signal Company. I thing the signal personnel may have been attached to MACV Team 75.

I was attached to Dong Tam Multi-channel radio site (not the microwave site) next to the big signal tower.

I can not remember the nether NCOIC’s name. I ran across the NCOIC of My Tho once years latter and he had said he had recommended me for the bronze star. Of course, I did not get it. I goy out after I left Nam and wasn’t interested in medals.

Being assigned to Dong Tam (rocket city) and travel ambush alley on a regular bases; plus, prior to that being attached to MACV Team at Go Dai Ha a small 5o meter by 50 meter MACV/Special Forces compound for some reason I developed PTSD. The bossing, nightmares, 3 failed marriages, failed/blocked out memories, (especially names) etc. Of course, since I did not have a combat MOS VA states I do not have the triggers for PTSD even though one of their doctors recommended I apply for PTSD disability.

I have no medal and no proof of the triggers that caused PTSD.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
