We wait on Stu and Sharon to get the reunions going and I remember in Corydon, it was suggested that maybe someone else host a reunion to give them a break. Well, I've been thinking since we are locating more and more 52d folks, a reunion in 2006 would be in order and I'll even host it in Overland Park, KS. I live in Olathe, just a few miles West. Olathe is too small, but Overland Park would be perfect. Lots of places to stay and plenty of reunion space, plus things to do. The only thing I'll need is a little help from Stu and Sharon like sharing with me the details of the Corydon reunion along with rosters so I can contact everyone via mail. And since Overland Park is smack dab in the middle of the United States, I'm within equal travel distance for everyone from East to West and North to South. All roads lead to KC (well, I-70 and I-35 do). I figure around August or September, before school starts. The weather here is like it was in Corydon if not a bit warmer and humid. If anyone lives nearby, say within 50 miles or so and would like to help me, let me know (rich@richgreene.com). But first I would like to know what YOU think about it. Is it too soon? Stu and Sharon are only a day's drive from me and it would be a snap for me to drive up one day. It's only about a 6 or 7 hour drive from here. I am 100% lazy (er, ah, retired) and have nothing better to do. Let me know what you think about it and start gathering up everyone for the big bash in Kansas. If not, well then I guess we will all just have to wait for 07', but I'll also be available to assist Stu and Sharon this time. We can't just put it all on one family to host all the time. I know it's a lot of work and time. Be sure to get back to me and talk it up here too.
