I was the second enlisted man to arrive in Ft Monmouth NJ. The first Company Clerk for CPT Harley Smith then MAJ DeYoung but I didn't have enough time left to deploy to South Vietnam and was reassigned to USAMC as permanent party. I knew many of the men who went advanced party, but I remember most was PFC Dorchak or Korchak he was a cook. Also, the guy who replaced me as Company Clerk but I can't recall his name. Neither can I recall the First Sergeant but I remember he had a plate on his head from wounds suffered in Korea. Also what I thought was pretty funny the Supply Sergeant was really big and fat almost 450 pounds was in the advanced party but they wouldn't let him off the ship when it arrived in Cam Ranh Bay. Email me back and let me know some news. I still think about those guys often. Tino Del Rosario formerly SSGE6 got out in Dec 67. My cell phone is (408) 590-6682 Give me a call if you want.
