I was with the 69th Engineer Battalion in Headquarters Company down in Can Tho, Alan. I beat you in-country by just about a month, but we were there at the same time. There are not all that many of us 69th alumni using this area, so even though we were in different companies, I thought you might at least want to hear from someone with similar experiences to yours. I was the senior radio person for the battalion, so I did get to visit Charlie Company a couple of times, both at Dong Tam and other places. Do you remember a guy by the name of Bonsey in the Charlie Company commo section? He and I went through radio school together at Ft Dix, went to Nam together, and were assigned to the 69th together. When we arrived in-country, we were told one of us was needed at HQ and the other at C, so we flipped a coin. I won, so I stayed at Can Tho, and he went to Charlie Company. I lost track of him after that. My email address is shown above. Drop me some email if you would like to talk some of it out.
