i worked on av-8a's and c's from '82-'85.in the avionics shop,there was a large turnover of people around the time i got there,so we had to learn the aircraft quickly or struggle with repairs.had a great bunch of people to work with,but only a few of us were "privalidged" to work the 14 hr shifts cause we happened to know the most about them. even though we called them junk jets and sky pigs,i knew they werent your ordinary attack aircraft!especially watching them kick f-14's and f-16's asses in the same dogfight at tyndall and the "topgun" air base in ca.(for some reason ,the name slips my mind)sure do miss em!it was a great job and a pain in the ass plane to work on!!
