My name is Sydney A. (Syd) Austin. I was a member of D Troop 1/1 Cav stationed in Chu Lai from Dec 70 until the end of April 71. I was a Cpt flying OH-6's in the Scout Platoon. I was shot down on 27 Apr 71, my door gunner SP4 James (Butch) Weston was killed and I was medivaced to the states.
