I was with Co D,40th Signal Bn,1st Signal Bde. (3rd Plt) I was with them from 6-3-67 to 8-10-69. I started out in Qui Nhon,then went to Chu Lai and was attached to the 3rd Marine Div. for almost a year,then back to Phu Tai where Co D had moved to a built a new company Hdq. out on Hwy 1 at the base of the mountain on the west side of the village.We had Long Lines right next to us,them lucky guys slept and lived in air conditioned trailers,and worked in an air conditioned building.We set the poles in Qui Nhon and put the cable to the communication site on top of Vung Chau Mountain in 1967.
