I was in the team that installed the first Trac 21 on VC Hill. There was nothing there at the time except an ARVN guard detachment, for a small group of huts. We cut away the brush and put up our 40 antenna.I think it was in August or September...hard to remember.I do remember that it was a free fire area at the time, and we locked and loaded at the foot of the hill before going up. I have several photos of the old monestary the 41st lived in at the time.I left there after a month or so, to set up another site at a Special Forces camp in Ca Mau.
