I reenlisted in the Army in Jan. 65 and was sent to Company D 41st Sig. at Fort Lewis Wash. Around April of that year the Bn. was sent to Vietnam, half went by ship the other half flew. I was in the group that flew over we flew in C130's and it took 4 days flying time but every time we landed we broke down. I believe we spent two days in Hawaii which wasn't bad, half a day at Wake island which was to long a day in the Phillipines. We finally landed in Vung Tau, I believe the only military there at that time. We were assigned to a monistary located at Back Beach we had to cut a perimiter it was all over grown, two monks were still living there what a snake nest that was. Several weeks later I was reassigned to the 232nd Sig. Company in BienHoa where I spent the better part of the next two years, then back to the states (Fitzsimmons Army Hospital in Denever)Back to Vietnam this time the 1st Log Comd 593rd LSA-2 in TuyHoa for a year then to MACV Adv. Tm. 111 in DaNang. I cut my last tour short by six months and went home for good.
