I'm the author of a history article aimed at young readers appearing weekly in Marine Corps Times newspaper. These short, simple history articles are aimed at young Marines of today, born more than a decade after the Vietnam war ended. The purpose is to show them glimpses of the tradition they belong to. Some of the material used in the articles will also appear later in a book.

I'm working on one of these articles about VMA-311 operations with the A-4 Skyhawk in Vietnam. I would like to hear from anyone who might like to help with personal recollections, records, or the loan of photos.

If you'd like to help, ring me in northern Virginia at (703) 264-8950. If you're wondering whether you'd like to help, call me and let's talk about it. The purpose here is to share a little history with a new generation.

Best wishes,

Bob Dorr
