Here`s an almost unknown fact. In May 1972 Bien Hoa airbase RVN.There was a Marine rifle Co. assigned to MAG-12, which VMA-311 belonged to. I was in it. Weapons Platoon, KILO CO. 3RD BATTALION / 9TH MARINES. We were the security element. And I believe the only Grunts in the Air Wing at the time.
